My adult driven 1979 matching number Corvette L-48 Coupe is now for sale. This car is not "perfect" but neither is the price I am asking for it. It will make anyone a darn good driver Vette and has many dependable years of service left in it. 85,000 actual miles and matching numbers. Many new parts. The brake calipers and most lines were new within only a few hundred miles, also 4 new rotors, new custom true dual exhaust system (still shines and no cats), newer leather interior, newer carpeting, replacement radio, OEM alloy wheels. Over this past winter I removed and tore down the engine to diagnose a ticking issue and found a worn cam lobe and lifter on #7 cylinder.  Motor rebuilt at.030 over. New pistons and everything else.  A new Summit Racing performance cam #1104 with 224/224 grind @ .05 lift and 16 new hydraulic lifters gives the motor plenty of street-ability plus a slightly loping idle thrown in for the ride. The motor also now has a new crankshaft and all bearings. Melling high volume oil pump and stainless drive shaft was also installed when I reassembled giving the motor 60-70 PSI hot at idle with 5-30 oil. This motor is now essentially new, but better and stronger than it could ever hope to be as stock and it is now broken in properly. Every sealing surface was Felpro gasketed and RTV was used at all of the typical GM leak points. We installed a new transmission pump seal while the engine was out. The motor, brakes, transmission and rear end are leak-free now (rare for a Corvette C-3) and the car looks, sounds and runs great. Twin Flowmasters give a rich, mellow rumble. This motor should now be putting out about 250+ HP on UNLEADED REGULAR gas although I always use premium to stay away from ethanol. The radiator has been replaced and a high volume aluminum water pump keeps this car cool even when idling in traffic. An Edlebrock 3701 Performer intake and Edlebrock 1903 performance carb top things off. I just installed four brand new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 RWSW performance tires on the car. The new engine and many other new parts in this car will keep the anticipated maintenance cost to the new owner low for years. The only thing this car needs a new owner. E-mail me for more photos.
