Cleaning/Damage Deposit Policy for All Cabins
Thanks for choosing to stay at Galles' Upper Cullen Resort. If you have any questions about the terms of your cabin rental with us, please ask one of our staff. We want your stay with us to be mutually satisfying and your reservation for next year is our confirmation of the success of our work.
All of our housekeeping cabins require a Cleaning and Damage Deposit.
When you reserve your cabin, you will be asked to send us an Initial Cabin Reservation Deposit. A part of that initial deposit (normally 50%) will be used to fund a "Cleaning/Damage Deposit account" when you check in. The remainder of your initial deposit is then applied against the total cabin rental amount which is due at the time of check-in.
When you check out and after our staff cleans the cabin for our next guests, we will assess the condition of the cabin and an appropriate amount (if any) for any damage and/or excessive cleaning needs will be withheld from the Cleaning/Damage Deposit account. We may make a deduction for excess cleaning required after rental. Ours are "Housekeeping" cabins. You do not need to sanitize the cabin when you leave, just leave the beds un-made, take the garbage out, leave the dishes clean or washing in the dishwasher, floors reasonably clean, windows closed and doors unlocked. Please leave the heater or Air Conditioner OFF and return the key and TV remote control to the office when checking out. The balance will then be refunded to you by check within about 14 days days of departure.
A charge may also be made for late checkout if our cleaning staff has to wait for you to vacate the cabin after cabin check-out time.
Any physical damage to the cabin is the responsibility of the renter. "Damage" includes, but is NOT limited to: stains, scratches, scuff marks and breakage of cabin furnishings or of the cabin structure, damage to screens or any other cabin amenity.
Damage of less than the amount of your Cleaning/Damage Deposit account will be deducted from the account and all residual funds will be promptly refunded to you. Damage in excess of the Cleaning/Damage Deposit will be collected from the responsible party.
A word about our SMOKE-FREE CABINS. Evidence of smoking in any cabin will result in a deposit deduction of up to $100 for cleaning and/or deodorizing of the cabin. Smoking is allowed at outside areas only!
We do not desire to withhold any of your Cleaning/Damage Deposit and will work with you to insure that all of your money is available for refund. By complying with these guidelines, you will enjoy your stay with us and your deposit will be cheerfully refunded after you leave.
